Here is a 10 minute break I have awarded myself...

opening the windows after a long time,
to let some fresh air in
with the fragrance of the wet soil wafting in
the smell of greenery breaks the night's darkness
for a moment,
nature takes over from us mortals,
who have created a world inside this world,
a shell for ourselves to suffer in,
so when we break out we feel good

Got this forward today...

Wean Yourself
Little by Little, wean yourself
From an embryo, whose nourishment comes in the blood
Move to an infant drinking milk,
To a child on solid food,
To a searcher after wisdom,
To a hunter of more invisible game.
Think how it is to have a conversation with the embryo.
You might say, “The outside world is vast and intricate.
There are wheatfields and mountain passes,
And orchards in bloom.
At night there are millions of galaxies, and in the sunlight
The beauty of friends dancing at a wedding.”
You ask the embryo why he, or she, stays cooped up
In the dark with eyes closed.
