I read this phrase "ad astra per aspera" sometime back... dont remember where. it means ,"through endeavors, the stars"... my search for a fancy e-mail signature was finally over. decided to make it my motto while being at ISB (atleast until i find a much fancier one, that is ;)).

ISB is Indian School of Business in Hyderabad, India. An idea born out of a host of business leaders in India and abroad, it has captured the imagination of many like me, who, after having worked for a few years, find themselves at crossroads and a deep interest in management... www.isb.edu

Kanishk, from the class of 03, (i am in the class of 04), has been an inspiration with his seemingly endless energy when it comes to typing characters on a keyboard... had me thinking about writing about life here, given that it is something i have come to cherish... life has been tough, hectic, demanding, stressful and tiring ever since i landed here... but all that has been balanced by the learning i have gone thru... no, not what happens in the classrooms, though i think i am picking up stuff there, its whats happened outside and the resulting self-introspection... its amazing how much there is in this world to learn about oneself, while the whole emphasis of our education system is to learn from textbooks, classrooms and professors... beginning to get philosophical am I? is it because its 3 am in the morning and I have a case and 2 articles to study for discussing competitive strategy? dont know... but it was spontaneous! (ramki, good! stick to it... you are getting there... :))

isb is filled with people of myriad colors... think of an adjective, and i can point a person here that fits it... imagine being put up with 220 of these characters for the whole of 11 months of your life to learn management... thats what i aim to write about here... never published anything before in life but i hope to be regular with this one... look forward to more!
